Book Direct Day is February 2nd, 2022 & a Day to Save You Money

Asian girl booking hotel online, talking on phone with reservation team, sitting on couch at home at using laptop

Are you and your family planning a vacation to Myrtle Beach later this year? We need to tell you why you should #bookdirect with us if you are. Many online third-party vacation rental sites can add a 5%-20% additional fee to your reservation. We know that your vacations are significant and may limit how much you can spend each year. We at Myrtle Beach Resort wants to make sure that you get the most out of your money when you’re on vacation. The only way that you’ll be able to enjoy your vacation without getting hit with that unexpected fee is by booking direct today!

A Little About #BookDirect Day

On February 2nd, 2022, we celebrate the 5th Annual Book Direct Day, which was created to help educate vacation rental guests on the benefits of booking directly through an owner or Property Management Company vs. using a Third-Party agency such as Airbnb, HomeAway, VBRO & TripAdvisor.

While you may recognize these big-name companies and their gimmicks in helping you save money, you will soon learn that they will charge you a fee for using their website. Who wants to pay extra just to try and save a little money? Some of the expenses that you may incur when you book with an OTA can range from 5%-20% of the total cost of your vacation rental, which in turn can cost you thousands of dollars extra depending on which rental you choose.

Go on an adventure! Happy family preparing for the journey. Mom and daughters are packing suitcases for the trip.

Why You Should Book Direct with Myrtle Beach Resort

When you book direct with Myrtle Beach Resort, you will not only speak with one of our vacation specialists who are local to Myrtle Beach and can give you the best information on the area. We can provide you with our recommendations on where to dine, play, shop, and visit businesses in the area. Our office is conveniently in Myrtle Beach, so if any problems arise while you’re on vacation, we’re here to help. Plus, you will find that we often have specials throughout the year on your stays to help you save a little extra money.

How You Can Book Direct with Us?

You will find that booking directly with us at Myrtle Beach Resort is easy as 1, 2, 3! We encourage all guests to book their vacations directly through our safe & secure website, www.myrtle-beach-resort.com or call our office at (888) 826-4018. Rest assured that we will never charge any hidden fees, and we will always provide you with the best available rates on our professionally managed vacation rentals. We don’t want you to have to pay anything extra so that you can use that money to go out to eat or head out for a night of fun. We understand that your money is precious, and we can help you see that your vacation to Myrtle Beach is the best one it can be each year!

Are you ready to plan your vacation today? #BookDirect with us today to have the best-planned vacation year after year!

Anytime you are on vacation, it’s always nice when you don’t have to cook. Yes, you won’t be at home where you get to find out where dinner will be at, cook and clean up afterwards. Enjoy the Beach

Get Ready for Thanksgiving in Myrtle Beach

One of the main reasons that many of our guests love to come to Myrtle Beach during the Thanksgiving Day holiday is to enjoy the beach. While the water may be a little too chilly for you to enjoy, you can still enjoy the sand and the sun. Bring your chairs down to the beach, pack the sand toys and bring your umbrella. The sun is still warm enough to give you some sun and it will allow the kids to play and build sandcastles. During the evening time, the weather may turn a little cooler, but you can still go fly a kite on the beach all while making new memories.

There are many other things that you and your family can enjoy this Thanksgiving Day weekend, but these are the few we thought you’d enjoy. If you haven’t made your plans to stay with us at Myrtle Beach Resort, now is the time. We can’t wait to see your family as you make new memories this holiday season!

What to Pack in your Beach Bag

What to Pack in your Beach Bag

Do you have a spring break vacation planned to Myrtle Beach this year? If the answer is yes, then we understand that spending the week sitting on the beach soaking up the rays is just what you need.  Staying in one of our Two-Bedroom vacation rentals will keep you close to the beach but having the right things in your beach bag will allow you to enjoy your vacation. We have compiled a small list of what to pack in your beach bag for your next vacation to Myrtle Beach below.

Beach Bag Contents

Beach Towels

What to Pack in your Beach Bag

When you are on vacation making sure you have packed everything before you leave home is essential. So be sure to pack a towel for everyone in your family whether you are going to sit in the sun or swim in the ocean. Bringing an extra towel with you is always a good idea especially if you have little ones with you. Having a beach towel with a different design can help each member in your group remember which one theirs is. Sewing one corner of the towel can allow you to have a little pocket so that you can place a phone or glasses in them to keep them from the sand.

Sunscreen

With the hot, southern sun sunscreen is a must for any beach bag. Use a sunscreen that is designed for your beach activities such as waterproof, sport, high SPF, etc.). Dermatologists suggests that you use a sunscreen with at least 30 SPF while you are enjoying the sunshine. And don’t forget to Reapply throughout your day as we don’t want you to ruin your vacation the very first day your here with a sunburn. Having a bottle of aloe that you can put into the fridge will help make the sunburns cool and feel refreshing in case someone in the family does get a little too much sun one day.

Mesh Sand Toys Bag

What to Pack in your Beach Bag

Anytime you go on vacation with kids, you have to bring a ton of sand toys with you. We understand bringing sand back with you into your vacation rental is not necessary and can be quite a hassle. So, if you pack a mesh bag such as a laundry bag or a bag specifically for beach toys can help eliminate the mess. Just throw the sandy toys into the bag, give it a good shake or two and leave the sand behind at the beach.

Hats & Sunglasses

Packing sunglasses and hats are a must anytime you visit Myrtle Beach. The sun is much hotter than it is in the north, so we want to make sure that your eyes and face are protected. Having sunglasses will protect your eyes from the sun bright rays and will offer you some relief when trying to keep an eye on your little ones playing. Whether you have a floppy hot or a baseball cap, you will be happy that you brought these along with you. Don’t forget to pack one for everyone in the family.

Water Resistant Phone Pouch

Between the water, sun and sand, the beach is filled with many things that can damage your phone. Bringing a water-resistant pouch to the beach can be a lifesaver for many. If you come on vacation and realize you don’t have one, a sandwich bag or Ziploc bag will do the same as the phone pouch. They will keep your phone protected from the elements at the beach and you can even use it while it’s in the bag or pouch.

Baby Powder for Sand Removal

Baby powder may not seem like an item you would bring with you to the beach, but it’s a wonderful hack for anyone who is on vacation. Whether you are staying in a vacation rental or you decided to drive your car to the beach access, sand will be all over you when you leave the beach. So, bringing baby powder in your beach bag will magically get the sand off of your body without irritation and leave a nice scent too. This is perfect for everyone in the family and not just the kids.

Reading Material

What to Pack in your Beach Bag

One way that you can improve your tan and your mood is by bringing a book or magazine to the beach. We understand that bringing your children to the beach means less time to read a book, but maybe bring a few of their books too. This way when you are ready to read a little, have them come play in the sand near where you are or have them sit under the umbrella and read a little bit of their own book.

There are many other things that you can pack into your beach bag, but these are the must have items for your next vacation. If you are still searching for the perfect resort to stay at for spring break, then check out our Myrtle Beach vacation rentals. We can’t wait for your family to come and vacation with us!
