3 Easter Activities You Don’t Want to Miss

It’s hard to believe that Easter will be here in just a few short days, and if you’re looking for something to do, we have the perfect answer. Unlike last year, when many different activities and events were canceled, there are plenty of things to do this year. Staying with us at Myrtle Beach Resort will allow you and your family to be close to some of the fun happening in the area. Let’s look below at three different activities that you and your family can do this Easter Break!

Easter Egg Hunt in North Myrtle Beach

This year if you’re looking for a fun egg hunt to attend in the area, then head on over to McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach. Join in the fun on Saturday, April 3^rd, beginning at 10:00 am sharp, will be the 39^th Annual North Myrtle Beach Easter Egg Hunt. While they require that you and your family wear face masks, they will have several different groups separated by their ages. This year it is a bit extra, of course, compared to previous years, but this is only for the egg hunt, see the Easter Bunny and Friends and get a little candy. Think of the fun memories that you’ll make this Easter weekend here at the beach!

Let Them Paint

Do you have someone in the family who loves to paint or draw? If you do, then allow us to share with you a fun kids camp that is happening over at Painting with a Twist, located next to Beach Ford. This is an excellent way for the kids to meet new children and let their imaginations run wild. The day camp will begin at 9:00 am and will be painting a “zoo” themed Painting to take home as a souvenir to remember their trip by. Please be sure to register before the day to be sure to get into a seating. Also, pack for your camper a water bottle and lunch. The camps will be going on from Monday, April 5^th through Friday, April 9^th.

Meet the Easter Bunny

Another great activity and event happening this coming weekend are meeting the Easter Bunny over at Lulu’s at Barefoot Landing. Happening on Saturday and Sunday, April 3^rd & 4^th, bring the family over to not only meet the Easter Bunny but have photos taken too. After you’ve completed the Easter Bunny, head-on into Lulu’s for a great lunch and enjoy some extra treats, this event is happening from 11;00 am and ends at 2:00 pm. Bring the camera with you and take those pictures to capture the memories of Easter this year.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum is something like other that you may have seen. It includes many different things that you may have never known existed included weird and unusual facts, exhibits and stories. WonderWorks is another museum that you may have never experienced before. This is more like an amusement park in itself and is fun to experience. There are several different hands-on activities, rides and exhibits that your family can take part in such as laying on a bed of nails and more. This could take you and your family all day to go through and experience such a fun thing to do for a day together.

Miniature Golf Anyone?

Many people these days can remember vacationing at the beach and heading over to do a night or two of miniature golf with their family. So, why not start this as a tradition with your family on each vacation you take to Myrtle Beach? There are plenty of miniature golf places around Myrtle Beach whether it’s in North or South, you will find a mini-golf place. But pick a few places to try before trying to figure out if it’s the new “family” mini-golf course you want to visit every trip. And you may find that some of your family members will be very competitive too which can be fun for everyone. But just go out and enjoy the day or the evening with your loved ones.

We have to say that anytime you go on vacation, it’s always nice to eat out for a few days. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner there is something for everyone in Myrtle Beach. Carolina Roadhouse is a wonderful restaurant that you can eat at that not only has amazing food, but whenever you order a salad, it will come with a glazed croissant that is to die for. Another local favorite would have to be Tupelo Honey which has excellent food choices for everyone in the family. And let’s not forget about the amazing seafood restaurants that you will find in the area. Broadway Grand Prix

If you and your family have been looking to do a little something more adventurous, then we suggest heading over to Broadway Grand Prix for a night. Here you will be able to take advantage of racing each other in a round or two of go kart. And we understand that if you have younger children in your family they will want to feel included too in the fun. So, have no fear as there are several things for them to take part in too such as the carousel, kiddie speedway, pro tow and their very own sky wheel. It’s hard to believe that 2020 will be coming to an end, but soon, it will be time to celebrate 2021 here on the Grand Strand. Ring in the New Year at the Boardwalk

Come and celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Boardwalk with the family this year. This will be a family-friendly outdoor event that everyone in the family will love and enjoy. Beginning at 8:00 pm head on over to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk where you will get to listen to some live music, food and fireworks to help ring in the New Year. There will be social distancing enforced and masks should be worn when in close proximity to other people. Think of the fun your family will have as you make new memories while you ring in the new year together.

New Year’s Eve at Margaritaville

If you’re looking to grab a late dinner with the family on New Year’s Eve, then head on over to Margaritaville at Broadway at the Beach. Beginning at 6:00 pm is where your family can grab some delicious food from Margaritaville such as Seafood Mac & Cheese, Chicken Fajitas and we can’t forget the famous Cheeseburger in Paradise. There are plenty of options for the kids to choose from too which makes this restaurant a great place to eat at on this vacation. 3 Walking Trails in Myrtle Beach to Explore

Do you and your family like to enjoy the great outdoors while on vacation? Instead of hitting the beach every single day of the week, why not explore some of the walking trails. Myrtle Beach Resort is a great place to stay as you will be close to some of the best trails in the area. Let’s look below at where you and the family can head to explore some of the walking trails in Myrtle Beach.

Myrtle Beach State Park

Have you and your family ever experienced Myrtle Beach State Park before? If you haven’t then you will be in for a surprise. There are two different trails that your family can explore within the state park. These two are the Yaupon Trail and the Sculptured Oak Trail which are both less than a mile each. Each trail is easy trails as they will be perfect for anyone who is new to hiking or someone who is an expert. Be sure to bring with you on your hike sunscreen, bugspray, a hat, and a camera. You will be able to see many local trees and many different species of birds and wildlife. What a great way to explore the state park with the family and explore these amazing trails too.

Bike & Run Park

If you’re looking for another great park that you can head to for some great walking trails is located at Bike & Run Park. This park is also known to the locals as “The Hulk” because it is located near the Intracoastal Waterway in Carolina Forest. With having 7 miles worth of trails on 70 acres of land, it’s sure to be one of the largest parks in the area. Not only can you bring your bike to ride on one of the many trails, but you can also bring the family too. We promise you that this is one park like you’ve never seen before especially here in Myrtle Beach!

Huntington Beach State Park

Huntington Beach State Park is another great location that you can go to for some great walking trails. Not only will you see plenty of wildlife, but you’ll also be able to view nature as well. Don’t miss the Sandpiper Pond Nature Trail as it has a pond and a deck that you will be able to observe egrets and herons. There is also the Kerrigan Nature Trail that offers you views of a lagoon and we can say it’s quite the view too. Be sure to bring a camera, a hat, sunscreen and plenty of energy to do with the family.

Boogie Board

For any family who comes to vacation at the beach, they are always looking for new things to do with the kids. This is a classic thing that your kids can do together or with you, boogie boarding. Head to the store where you can pick up a boogie board or two to help make this activity happen.

Bubble Blowing

Who knew that blowing bubbles on the beach could be more fun than at home? Making your own bubbles or getting a bubble wand from the local dollar store will help keep the kids entertained. Watching the bubbles blow in the wind from the ocean is always fun and never gets old. This is a kid- friendly activity especially for the younger ones who want something to do while they are having a good time.

Beach Ball Potato

Have you ever played hot potato at home? If you have then this is just like that game only you use a beach ball. Be sure to bring a small radio or your smartphone loaded up with fun kid music. Start the music and pass the beach ball around in a circle and when the music stops, the kid holding the ball is out. This game is great for everyone and can be played on the sand or indoors, whatever works best for your family.

Sand Angels

Just like snow angels that can be made in the snow, your kids can make sand angels instead. This can be a fun activity that all kids will love as it means they can get messy. Have each child lay in the sand and make a jumping jack movement on the sand to make their angels. But we must warn you that your child will have sandy hair and bodies. Good news is that there is always the ocean to rinse all that sand off afterwards. What a great memory to make while on your next family vacation!

If you are looking for a little indoor fun to do with the kids, then head over to Bass Pro Shops for their Easter fun. On Saturday, April 20^th from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for a fun family Easter event. When you first come into the Bass Pro Shops you will be able to take a picture with the Easter Bunny and receive a free photo. Your kids can do an Easter craft in the store and there will be an egg hunt in the store from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Registration for the egg hunt will begin at 1:30 pm. Don’t miss this fun event at Bass Pro Shops with the kids for a family fun day!

37^th Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Don’t miss the 37^th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach is something for everyone to enjoy. Starting at 10:00 am the family can hunt for eggs throughout the park and it’s a free event to join in. Those who want to participate in the egg hunt will be divided into different age groups from infant and up. The Easter Bunny will be taking pictures with everyone and will be handing out candy to all the kids. Bring your camera to capture the moments that will happen at this event!

Let’s Go to the Fair

Come celebrate Easter at the Myrtle Beach Speedway for their 4^th Annual Horry County Fair. On Sunday, April 21^st from noon to 11:00 pm is where you and the family can enjoy a fun county fair. Admission to the event is $5 per person and children 4 & under are free. Here you and your family will be able to enjoy an Easter Service, as well as carnival rides, games and so much more. There will be a petting zoo and let’s not forget about the pig racing. And if you can’t make it to the fair on Easter, then have no fear as it will be going on until the 26^th. This can be a fun family day spending it out and about on the town for some Easter Fun.
