Places to Eat in Myrtle Beach

If you don’t feel like leaving the resort to feed your appetite, you’re in luck. We have a few great dining options right onsite. You can check out our onsite dining options here.

For those who want to get out and explore the area, we have polled the staff of Myrtle Beach Resort Vacations for their favorite restaurants along the Grand Strand. Using our own grading system, we reduced the list to the top few favorites and as it turns out, there appears to be something for everyone’s taste. Additionally, since the Myrtle Beach Resort is just south of the city limits, the restaurants are fairly close to the Resort.

Omega Pancake House - 1617 Highway 17 North, Surfside Beach, SC

This is a long time favorite for locals and visitors alike who enjoy a fast, reasonably priced, high quality breakfast. High quality you say? Aren’t all breakfasts just about the same? Well try the Omega and you’ll discover there is a difference…be it fresher eggs, lighter pancakes, or tastier grits, we don’t know. While you are there, say hello to Harry, the congenial owner who’ll be wondering around the dining area (unless they’re short-handed and then he’ll be cooking your food. They serve lunch as well…mostly pancakes! (within 1 mile of The Myrtle Beach Resort).

Ultimate California Pizza - 1502 N. Hwy. 17, Surfside Beach, SC

Year after year voted “Best of the Beach” by readers of the Sun News, this popular pizza spot will deliver or you may eat in. Over 50 gourmet toppings and homemade, hand-tossed dough is their secret. They have an incredible variety of specialty pizzas including Filet Mignon and Thai Chicken - plus superb subs, salads, new focaccia sandwiches, wings and more. (within 1 mile of The Myrtle Beach Resort).

Southside Grill - 355 Highway 17, Surfside Beach, SC

Southside Grill was opened several years ago by Mimi and Rick McKee who moved here from Pittsburgh. It is a "hole in the wall" and you will find it in a strip shopping center, on your left, south of the Myrtle Beach Resort. It was a true "locals favorite" before all our visitors came along and adopted it as their own! You are learning all our secrets! The prices are reasonable and the food is always good - lunch or dinner. The reason the desserts are so delicious is that Mimi makes them herself from scratch. (within 2 miles of The Myrtle Beach Resort).

K and W Cafeteria - 2001 S. Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, SC

A Myrtle Beach staple, this cafeteria-style restaurant can’t be beat for value - breakfast, lunch, or dinner. With the exception of breakfast, there’s always a large array of salads, entrees, vegetables, desserts, breads, and non-alcoholic beverages. Take the whole family and get away for less, per person, than $3 at breakfast, $5 at lunch and $7-8 for dinner. Southerners love their traditional style of cooking…you will too. (within 3 miles of The Myrtle Beach Resort).

River City Cafe - Seaside Drive and Atlantic Ave. Surfside Beach, SC

With peanut shells on the floors and an eclectic assortment of collectibles on the walls, this fun-loving, rustic cafe is an old favorite with locals. USA Today called it, "one of the best places in the nation to take the kids", and it was voted "Best of the Beach" by readers of the Sun News. Absolutely the best burgers on the beach, homemade french fries and hand-dipped onion rings, plus the freshest salads, sandwiches and more! Lunch and dinner, inside and out. They have four locations but the one in Surfside is the closest to the Myrtle Beach Resort and overlooks the beach! (within 3 miles of The Myrtle Beach Resort).

The Library - 1212 N. Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, SC

Known locally as a “special occasion restaurant” this downtown establishment is the most formal and classic restaurant along the Grand Strand, an area that is not known for its classy restaurants. Evoking a library, the walls are lined with old and new volumes. The tables have crisp white linen, and the food service is the best. Serving dinner only, the Library is not innovative in its selection of seafood, duck, beef, chicken, and veal dishes, but only first-class ingredients are used; and you won't get better attention anywhere! (within 5 miles of The Myrtle Beach Resort).

Pacino's - 3103 Hwy 17 S. Garden City, SC

A nice little Italian place where you can get a good bowl of spaghetti, lasagna, ravioli, or whatever the chef/owner may have prepared as a house special that evening. A small Italian Deli accompanies it where you can pick up a variety of sandwich meats, breads and wines to take along with you. The prices are moderate, the decor interesting and the service very personal…ask for Debbie, our favorite waitress. (within 5 miles of The Myrtle Beach Resort).

Bovine's - 3679 Hwy. 17, Murrells Inlet, SC

Considered by critics (and locals alike) to be one of the finest restaurants in South Carolina, Bovine’s is also one of the most beautiful waterfront restaurants on the coast. When asked, where to go in Murrells Inlet, Bovine’s is likely the answer you will get. It will also give you an opportunity to see the progress this little fishing community has made in it’s quest to win back the reputation of being “the seafood capital of the south”. Bovine's features fresh local seafood, aged beef cooked over mesquite and charcoal, gourmet pizzas from a wood fired brick oven, and eclectic chef specialties. Bovine's is also the winner of many local and regional awards for outstanding cuisine. (within 8 miles of The Myrtle Beach Resort).

Filets - 2121 Sea Mountain Hwy, North Myrtle Beach, SC

They offer spectacular views of the Intracostal Waterway. Excellent food choices from fresh seafood, great steaks, and sushi. Ideal place for families, intimate dinners, or happy hour among friends. (within 30 miles of The Myrtle Beach Resort).
