Coming to the beach during Spring Break will always have different things to do but spending the day or more on the beach is what you’re looking for. Pack a lunch, grab the beach chairs & umbrella and go down and find your spot. Let the kids play in the sand making sandcastles, digging holes or hunting for shells is what vacation is about. Think of the new memories that you will make on the days you spend on the sand. What a great way to spend Spring Break then on the sand and by the surf.

While there are many other things you can do during Spring Break, these are a few things we wanted to share with you. If you haven’t booked your next vacation to stay with us at Myrtle Beach Resort, now is your time. We can’t wait to see you and your family as you take a break from life and enjoy it at the beach!

What to Pack in your Beach Bag

What to Pack in your Beach Bag

Do you have a spring break vacation planned to Myrtle Beach this year? If the answer is yes, then we understand that spending the week sitting on the beach soaking up the rays is just what you need.  Staying in one of our Two-Bedroom vacation rentals will keep you close to the beach but having the right things in your beach bag will allow you to enjoy your vacation. We have compiled a small list of what to pack in your beach bag for your next vacation to Myrtle Beach below.

Beach Bag Contents

Beach Towels

What to Pack in your Beach Bag

When you are on vacation making sure you have packed everything before you leave home is essential. So be sure to pack a towel for everyone in your family whether you are going to sit in the sun or swim in the ocean. Bringing an extra towel with you is always a good idea especially if you have little ones with you. Having a beach towel with a different design can help each member in your group remember which one theirs is. Sewing one corner of the towel can allow you to have a little pocket so that you can place a phone or glasses in them to keep them from the sand.

Sunscreen

With the hot, southern sun sunscreen is a must for any beach bag. Use a sunscreen that is designed for your beach activities such as waterproof, sport, high SPF, etc.). Dermatologists suggests that you use a sunscreen with at least 30 SPF while you are enjoying the sunshine. And don’t forget to Reapply throughout your day as we don’t want you to ruin your vacation the very first day your here with a sunburn. Having a bottle of aloe that you can put into the fridge will help make the sunburns cool and feel refreshing in case someone in the family does get a little too much sun one day.

Mesh Sand Toys Bag

What to Pack in your Beach Bag

Anytime you go on vacation with kids, you have to bring a ton of sand toys with you. We understand bringing sand back with you into your vacation rental is not necessary and can be quite a hassle. So, if you pack a mesh bag such as a laundry bag or a bag specifically for beach toys can help eliminate the mess. Just throw the sandy toys into the bag, give it a good shake or two and leave the sand behind at the beach.

Hats & Sunglasses

Packing sunglasses and hats are a must anytime you visit Myrtle Beach. The sun is much hotter than it is in the north, so we want to make sure that your eyes and face are protected. Having sunglasses will protect your eyes from the sun bright rays and will offer you some relief when trying to keep an eye on your little ones playing. Whether you have a floppy hot or a baseball cap, you will be happy that you brought these along with you. Don’t forget to pack one for everyone in the family.

Water Resistant Phone Pouch

Between the water, sun and sand, the beach is filled with many things that can damage your phone. Bringing a water-resistant pouch to the beach can be a lifesaver for many. If you come on vacation and realize you don’t have one, a sandwich bag or Ziploc bag will do the same as the phone pouch. They will keep your phone protected from the elements at the beach and you can even use it while it’s in the bag or pouch.

Baby Powder for Sand Removal

Baby powder may not seem like an item you would bring with you to the beach, but it’s a wonderful hack for anyone who is on vacation. Whether you are staying in a vacation rental or you decided to drive your car to the beach access, sand will be all over you when you leave the beach. So, bringing baby powder in your beach bag will magically get the sand off of your body without irritation and leave a nice scent too. This is perfect for everyone in the family and not just the kids.

Reading Material

What to Pack in your Beach Bag

One way that you can improve your tan and your mood is by bringing a book or magazine to the beach. We understand that bringing your children to the beach means less time to read a book, but maybe bring a few of their books too. This way when you are ready to read a little, have them come play in the sand near where you are or have them sit under the umbrella and read a little bit of their own book.

There are many other things that you can pack into your beach bag, but these are the must have items for your next vacation. If you are still searching for the perfect resort to stay at for spring break, then check out our Myrtle Beach vacation rentals. We can’t wait for your family to come and vacation with us!

Come to Myrtle Beach this Thanksgiving

Come to Myrtle Beach this Thanksgiving

Make a new tradition with family and spend your Thanksgiving Day in Myrtle Beach this year. The first of November marks the start of the holiday season, where everyone is making their holiday plans and finding out whose house Thanksgiving will be at. Instead of going to someone’s home for Thanksgiving this year, why not come and stay in one of our Three Bedroom condo rentals. Soon after Thanksgiving, Christmas music will play on the radio as people go shopping on Black Friday. Let’s look at what you and your family can enjoy while you vacation here.

Family Time

Come to Myrtle Beach this Thanksgiving

When you think of Thanksgiving, you think of spending as much quality time with your family. A lot of families have made coming to North Myrtle Beach a tradition each year for Thanksgiving because if you are staying in one of our vacation rentals, there will be plenty of space for the whole family. Staying home can be stressful because we all want out homes to be in perfect condition when the family comes over, but we tend to stress more. When you spend a holiday in North Myrtle Beach, it’s more relaxing and you will want to spend more time with the ones you love. Get the whole family involved in cooking Thanksgiving dinner or go eat dinner at a local restaurant instead.

Holiday Shopping

After Thanksgiving, while the Christmas music fills the air, go show until you drop at one of the two Tanger Outlet Malls in Myrtle Beach. We know that most everyone likes to make sure they get the best deals for Christmas shopping. While you can find some pretty amazing deals at the outlets and mall, you can also find some great deals at some of the local shops too. Purchasing something from one of the local shops can make the best gifts to give. Don’t miss out on any of the deals this year while you shop for those Christmas lists.

Beautiful Weather

Come to Myrtle Beach this Thanksgiving

While many other states may be experiencing winter-like temperatures during the month of November, the weather around Myrtle Beach is quite pleasant. With the highs normally in the high 60’s, who wouldn’t want to spend the holidays there? While the weather isn’t as warm as the summer, it sure makes for a wonderful day to spend it on the beach with the family. Spend the day on the beach soaking up the rays and in the evening take a walk with a loved one on the beach. Take advantage of the beautiful weather that Myrtle Beach has to offer you and your family on your Thanksgiving vacation.

Fun Holiday Shows

While spending the day at the beach can be just as fun for everyone, why not take advantage of the fun holiday shows that begin in the month of November. If you are looking for some great shows to go see while you are in town, we know of some that you must go see. Go to Pirates Voyage to take part in their Christmas Dinner Show or how about Medieval Times where you can see their new show. If you want to go, see a show and sit and enjoy then we suggest heading over to Alabama Theatre or The Carolina Opry. Both have amazing Christmas shows that you won’t want to miss. Many of the shows are award-winning holiday shows that happen to be in the Grand Strand area.

There are many other reasons why you should spend your Thanksgiving here in North Myrtle Beach, but these are a few we thought you’d enjoy. If you and your family want to spend Thanksgiving at the beach rather than at home, please look at our Three Bedroom condo rentals. We can’t wait to see you this Thanksgiving enjoying Myrtle Beach with your family!
