If you like many other families out there need to get away for a weekend or a week, then consider coming to Myrtle Beach. Coming to the beach during December can seem like a crazy idea, but in fact it’s not. December is a great time of the year to visit Myrtle Beach and stay in one of our 2-Bedroom Condos. Not only will you see holiday cheer throughout the city, but you will also be able to get away from the snow and cold temperatures back home. Let’s look at the 4 reasons why Myrtle Beach in December is must.
Less Crowded
If you are looking for a nice, relaxing kind of getaway then consider coming to Myrtle Beach during the off-season. During the month of December, you will most likely be dealing with the locals and not the crazy summer crowds. That means most likely the attractions will be less crowded meaning if there is a show you’d like to go see, go see it! Less crowded means that the pools won’t be crazy packed either and you can take advantage of our indoor pools we have at Myrtle Beach Resort.
Beautiful Weather
While the weather back home will most likely be cold and the streets covered in snow, come enjoy our beautiful weather we have here. With the average temperature of 60 degrees you can wear shorts if you choose to. If you’d like to head to the beach for a day and enjoy the sand and a nice walk down the beach, then you can. Who would want to be snowed in at home rather than be at the beach for a nice vacation? We do recommend bringing long pants and a jacket or sweatshirt with you for the evenings.
Fun Events
The month of December is full of fun events surrounding the holidays. From walking around Broadway at the Beach to see their festive decorations to going to Brookgreen Gardens to see their Night of a Thousand Candles. You will not be bored with what is happening throughout Myrtle Beach. If you are looking at something fun to see go we recommend checking out the following events:
- The Great Christmas Light Show – Come to the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex from now until December 30, 2022. Here you will be able to drive through a light show that will feature over 2 million festive lights displayed. This year they have new lights, new displays and a whole new experience for you to enjoy that you won’t want to miss!
- Holiday Events at Broadway at the Beach – Head on over to Broadway at the Beach for some fun holiday events such as the Merry & Musical Christmas Tree where the tree comes to life. Ripley’s Festival of Trees is happening or check out Let it Snow in Center Court this year. Let the kids visit with Santa in Center Court and tell him what they have on their list.
Golf
Golfing in the winter in Myrtle Beach is not like it is in the spring, summer and fall. You won’t have to deal with the amount of people trying to grab all of the good tee times, so this can be a wonderful thing. The cost to golf is also a better value in the winter time than it is during the summer months. We do offer a golf deal for you so just call our golf desk to make reservations today at 800-368-0045. Golfing at the beach is the best no matter when you visit Myrtle Beach!
There are many other reasons as of why you must visit Myrtle Beach during the month of December, but we thought this would help make your decision a little easier. If you and your family are still looking for a place to stay in Myrtle Beach we still have 2-Bedroom Condos available. We hope that you and your family have a wonderful holiday whether you are visiting us or staying home!
