Accidental Damage Waiver

Accidental Damage Waiver

In lieu of paying a refundable security deposit, all standard guest reservations will be charged an Accidental Damage Waiver fee. This fee will automatically be added to each guest reservation. This fee is not refundable or applied to future rentals. The damage waiver is limited to a maximum coverage of $1,000 per stay. All guests staying in the condo (sharing the same rental unit) will be covered by this waiver and will not be obligated to pay for accidental loss or damage to the rental unit or its contents.

Accidental Damage Waiver coverage does not include:

  • Intentional acts, gross negligence or willful conduct.
  • Evidence of and/or damage caused by pets or other animals.
  • Damage and/or theft by unauthorized individuals or groups.
  • Any loss, if the guest does not report the damage to Myrtle Beach Resort Vacations staff by time of vacating the premises.
  • Loss of use.
  • Excessive cleaning costs (incomplete check-out duties, carpet cleans).
  • Loss or damage to guest’s personal property or rental equipment brought onto the premises.
  • Normal wear & tear.
  • Damage to, or caused by vehicles.
  • Any damage caused by a violation of Myrtle Beach Resort Vacations Customs & Courtesies (Terms & Conditions) or in an action that violates local, state or federal laws.
  • Acts of God.

Accidental Damage Waiver protection is not available for monthly or other long-term rentals. The Accidental Damage Waiver is not insurance. The Accidental Damage Waiver is not available for non-family or large groups such as corporate retreats, etc. Guests in these categories, when approved, will be required to pay a non-refundable event fee. Myrtle Beach Resort Vacations will determine all necessary repairs. Report all damages to Myrtle Beach Resort Vacations immediately. All damages must be reported prior to departure. Myrtle Beach Resort Vacations and its unit owners are not responsible for the damage, loss or theft of personal property, including but not limited to automobiles, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, personal items and cash. Guest assumes all responsibility/liability for damages not reported upon arrival.
