4 Reasons Why Myrtle Beach in December is a Must

4 Reasons Why Myrtle Beach in December is a Must

If you like many other families out there need to get away for a weekend or a week, then consider coming to Myrtle Beach. Coming to the beach during December can seem like a crazy idea, but in fact it’s not. December is a great time of the year to visit Myrtle Beach and stay in one of our 2-Bedroom Condos. Not only will you see holiday cheer throughout the city, but you will also be able to get away from the snow and cold temperatures back home. Let’s look at the 4 reasons why Myrtle Beach in December is must.

Less Crowded

If you are looking for a nice, relaxing kind of getaway then consider coming to Myrtle Beach during the off-season. During the month of December, you will most likely be dealing with the locals and not the crazy summer crowds. That means most likely the attractions will be less crowded meaning if there is a show you’d like to go see, go see it! Less crowded means that the pools won’t be crazy packed either and you can take advantage of our indoor pools we have at Myrtle Beach Resort.

Beautiful Weather

4 Reasons Why Myrtle Beach in December is a Must

While the weather back home will most likely be cold and the streets covered in snow, come enjoy our beautiful weather we have here. With the average temperature of 60 degrees you can wear shorts if you choose to. If you’d like to head to the beach for a day and enjoy the sand and a nice walk down the beach, then you can. Who would want to be snowed in at home rather than be at the beach for a nice vacation? We do recommend bringing long pants and a jacket or sweatshirt with you for the evenings.

Fun Events

The month of December is full of fun events surrounding the holidays. From walking around Broadway at the Beach to see their festive decorations to going to Brookgreen Gardens to see their Night of a Thousand Candles. You will not be bored with what is happening throughout Myrtle Beach. If you are looking at something fun to see go we recommend checking out the following events:

  • The Great Christmas Light Show – Come to the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex from now until December 30, 2022. Golfing at the beach is the best no matter when you visit Myrtle Beach!
