Halloween Around the Grand Strand
For those spending Halloween in Myrtle Beach SC this year, there are lots of local events being held around the Grand Strand. You’ll have so many more fun-filled options than going door-to-door trick or treating like we used to do. Events in the community are just overall safer and more entertaining than anything else you can imagine. Here’s a run down of some of them:

Truck-or-Treat at Broadway at the Beach (near WonderWorks)
On October 22 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. there will be an interactive experience for kids and their families to check out all kinds of trucks including, emergency vehicles, big rigs and more as well as receive their favorite trick-or-treat candies! Kids will also enjoy carousel rides, train rides, a petting zoo and much more! Horn free hour is from 10–11 a.m.

Not So Spooky Halloween Party
Don’t let the name fool you! Dress up and come to the Character Company Party Place on October 23 from 2-4 p.m. for a fun time! Tickets are $15 and includes snacks, activities, bounce houses and treat bags. VIP Tickets are $25 and include a private meet & greet before the event and a photo with Peter Pan and Tinker-bell.

Boo Bash at the Children’s Museum of South Carolina
For a safe and fun trick-or-treating alternative join us at Museum Manor on October 28 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. This event is for the youngest ghouls and goblins. Kids are FREE and adults are only $5! Admission includes: Trick-or-Treating, themed activities and crafts, Magic of Science Show, and more!

Celebrity Square Halloween
On October 29 come take part in the Monsters Ball Costume party starting at 8 p.m. at Broadway at the Beach.

2016 Conway Ghost Walk
A Halloween tradition that begins at the Conway Visitor Center, 903 Third Ave, Conway. The Ghost Walk is held from 7-8:30 p.m. from Oct. 20-22, 2016. Professional storytellers tell spooky stories of low country haunts as they walk through the streets of Downtown Conway. Tours start each evening at 7 p.m. and leave the box office every 15 minutes until 8:30 p.m. The storytelling tour is 60 minutes and the tour route is approximately 1 mile. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under. To purchase advance tickets to the Conway Ghost Walk, visit or contact the box office at 843 248 6260. Reservations are suggested.

The Market Common invites families including fur babies to make it a night out for the entire family. Come enjoy the complimentary carriage rides, music and entertainment in front of The Grand 14 and trick or treating from 5-7 p.m. on October 31.

Find Your Halloween Boo! in Myrtle Beach

If you find yourself spending Halloween in Myrtle Beach SC this year rest assured there are plenty of local activities taking place for the holiday. Whether it’s just you and another letting your inner “Boo!” out at an Adult’s Costume Party on the Marshwalk or you’re taking the kids out for some safe trick or treating at Barefoot Landing, there’s plenty to keep you out of trouble this year!

Following are the activities taking place around the area for Halloween:

Oct. 31, 5-7 p.m., The Market Common
A good alternative to going door-to-door, bring your kids to The Market Common this year. Your kids can grab candy at participating stores around The Market Common. Enjoy free carriage rides around the complex plus music and entertainment in front of the movie theater. Your four-legged furry friends are welcome to attend, too!

Oct. 31, 4:30-6:30 p.m., Broadway at the Beach
Get dolled up and go store to store collecting treats around Broadway at the Beach. This is a great place to take the smaller children because there’s no traffic to worry about. Plus mom and dad can browse the shops and restaurants along the way. Kids 10 and under in costumes eat free from 4-7 p.m. at Hard Rock Cafe with a paying adult.

Oct. 31, 5-7 p.m., Barefoot Landing, North Myrtle Beach
Enjoy a safe and fun evening at Barefoot Landing. They’re offering free bags for the goodies plus free carousel rides. Show up early and grab some dinner before you start your journey around Barefoot Landing.

Oct. 31, 5-6 p.m., Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk
Children can trick-or-treat early before the grown up fun begins Halloween on the Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk. Prizes will be awarded for best kid’s costumes. Make plans to hit up the great seafood restaurants in the Inlet while you’re down there!

Oct. 31, 8 p.m., Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk
Adult Costume contest takes place during Halloween on the Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk. Prizes will be awarded for best adult’s costumes.

Oct. 31, 5-8 p.m., Howl-O-Scream, NMB Park and Sports Complex, North Myrtle Beach
The free Howl-O-Scream event includes hayrides, pumpkin painting and marshmallow roasting in addition to the traditional trick-or-treating. The event is open to all ages and includes scary and scare-free zones.

Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m., Tanger Outlets, Both Hwy 501 and Hwy 17 locations in Myrtle Beach
Visit either Tanger Outlet Center in Myrtle Beach and trick-or-treat around the shopping outlets. Just look for the Halloween decal outside of stores to see if they’re taking place in the fun.

Have fun on Halloween this year and stay safe by using flashlights or headlamps and having reflective tape on your costumes!
