4 Reasons Why Myrtle Beach in December is a Must

4 Reasons Why Myrtle Beach in December is a Must

If you like many other families out there need to get away for a weekend or a week, then consider coming to Myrtle Beach. Coming to the beach during December can seem like a crazy idea, but in fact it’s not. December is a great time of the year to visit Myrtle Beach and stay in one of our 2-Bedroom Condos. Not only will you see holiday cheer throughout the city, but you will also be able to get away from the snow and cold temperatures back home. Let’s look at the 4 reasons why Myrtle Beach in December is must.

Less Crowded

If you are looking for a nice, relaxing kind of getaway then consider coming to Myrtle Beach during the off-season. During the month of December, you will most likely be dealing with the locals and not the crazy summer crowds. That means most likely the attractions will be less crowded meaning if there is a show you’d like to go see, go see it! Less crowded means that the pools won’t be crazy packed either and you can take advantage of our indoor pools we have at Myrtle Beach Resort.

Beautiful Weather

4 Reasons Why Myrtle Beach in December is a Must

While the weather back home will most likely be cold and the streets covered in snow, come enjoy our beautiful weather we have here. With the average temperature of 60 degrees you can wear shorts if you choose to. If you’d like to head to the beach for a day and enjoy the sand and a nice walk down the beach, then you can. Who would want to be snowed in at home rather than be at the beach for a nice vacation? We do recommend bringing long pants and a jacket or sweatshirt with you for the evenings.

Fun Events

The month of December is full of fun events surrounding the holidays. From walking around Broadway at the Beach to see their festive decorations to going to Brookgreen Gardens to see their Night of a Thousand Candles. You will not be bored with what is happening throughout Myrtle Beach. If you are looking at something fun to see go we recommend checking out the following events:

  • The Great Christmas Light Show – Come to the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex from now until December 30, 2022. Here you will be able to drive through a light show that will feature over 2 million festive lights displayed. This year they have new lights, new displays and a whole new experience for you to enjoy that you won’t want to miss!
  • Holiday Events at Broadway at the Beach – Head on over to Broadway at the Beach for some fun holiday events such as the Merry & Musical Christmas Tree where the tree comes to life. Ripley’s Festival of Trees is happening or check out Let it Snow in Center Court this year. Let the kids visit with Santa in Center Court and tell him what they have on their list.

Golf

4 Reasons Why Myrtle Beach in December is a Must

Golfing in the winter in Myrtle Beach is not like it is in the spring, summer and fall. You won’t have to deal with the amount of people trying to grab all of the good tee times, so this can be a wonderful thing. The cost to golf is also a better value in the winter time than it is during the summer months. We do offer a golf deal for you so just call our golf desk to make reservations today at 800-368-0045. Golfing at the beach is the best no matter when you visit Myrtle Beach!

There are many other reasons as of why you must visit Myrtle Beach during the month of December, but we thought this would help make your decision a little easier. If you and your family are still looking for a place to stay in Myrtle Beach we still have 2-Bedroom Condos available. We hope that you and your family have a wonderful holiday whether you are visiting us or staying home!

“Fall” in Love with Myrtle Beach Resort

“Fall” in Love with Myrtle Beach Resort

It’s hard to believe that Labor Day is right around the corner, and it only means that fall is coming. This fall, instead of heading to the mountains, why not head on to Myrtle Beach. We at Myrtle Beach Resort love this time of the year for many different reasons, and we’d love to share with them with you. Let’s look below at how you and your family can “fall” in love with our resort on your next vacation.

Beach Weather

“Fall” in Love with Myrtle Beach Resort

One of the best things about when you vacation with us here at Myrtle Beach Resort during the fall is the weather. Not only will you have pleasant weather, but you’ll also be able to enjoy the sand as well. The highs during the days will be around  80° and lows around 65° for September. October will bring a little cooler temperature, such as 75° as the high and 55° as the lows. We suggest that you pack a few different things for the days and nights. No matter what the temperature is here in Myrtle Beach, it’s most likely warmer than the mountains for sure.

Less Crowded

The fall months are a great time to visit Myrtle Beach as schools are back in session. This means that you’ll be able to enjoy more time together on the beach, at restaurants and when out shopping. You will also be able to travel around town a little easier as traffic won’t be a big reason, you’re late to dinner or a show. Another great reason is you’ll be able to find more availability at one of the many shows here in the Myrtle Beach area.

 Amenities

“Fall” in Love with Myrtle Beach Resort

Another great thing about coming to the beach during the fall months is the number of amenities that our resort has to offer. If it happens to be a little too chilly for the kids to enjoy the pool during the day, then have no fear as we have two indoor pools that you can take advantage of. Some of the other great amenities that we offer are hot tubs, tennis courts, three different health spas that have even steam rooms, saunas, and jacuzzi, and so much more. No matter what time of the year you visit Myrtle Beach Resort, there is something for everyone.

While there are many other reasons to fall in love with Myrtle Beach Resort, these are the few we wanted to share with you. If you haven’t booked your next fall vacation to stay with us, now is the time. We can’t wait to see you and

3 Things to Do on a Rainy Day in Myrtle Beach

Transparent umbrella under heavy rain against water drops splash background. Rainy weather concept.

One thing about vacationing at the beach every year is there is bound to be at least one rainy day. Myrtle Beach is an excellent place to vacation, but yes, rain may happen on some afternoons. Staying with us at Myrtle Beach Resort will allow you and your family to enjoy your vacation. Look below at three activities you can do on the next rainy day on The Grand Strand.

Visit the Aquarium

Little boy, kid watching the shoal of fish swimming in oceanarium, children enjoying underwater life in Aquarium.

One way to help pass the time when it’s raining is to head over the Ripley’s Aquarium at Broadway at the Beach. This is a great place to not only get in a little education while on vacation but also check out the new exhibits they may have. Grab a bite to eat while you’re there at Broadway at the beach at Margaritaville too. Think of the fun you’ll have as a family seeing all the sea life at the aquarium.

Movie Time

Another fun thing you can do while in your vacation rental is make popcorn and watch a movie. Pick a movie that you may have brought with you and some snacks from the pantry. Pop some popcorn in the microwave or stovetop for something different. Then just turn the lights down low and enjoy watching a movie together as a family. Think of it like your own little movie theater at the beach!

Jump at Rockin’ Jump

happy childhood of a modern child in the city - girl jumping in the trampoline park

If the kids have a ton of energy that they need to get out, then head on over to Rockin’ Jump located on N Oak Street in Myrtle Beach. Here the whole family will be able to jump, rock climb and just get all the energy out they may have. They do offer promotions and different offers that may work best for your family. Make new memories as you try something new at the beach.

While they are plenty of other things you can do on a rainy day in Myrtle Beach, we had to share these with you. If you are still looking for a place to stay, give us a call today at Myrtle Beach Resort. We look forward to seeing you soon and getting to enjoy time together as a family!
