The Sun Fun Festival on the Grand Strand kicks off the summer season with music, celebrities, beauty pageants, air shows, parades and anything else you can pack into four days of celebration and fun.
The Sun Fun Festival is most noted for the Miss Sun Fun and Miss Sun Fun Teen Pageants. The Sun Fun parade brings locals and visitors alike out in droves to see area floats, marching bands, clowns and more parade along Ocean blvd in an unforgetable extravaganza.
Each year the area builds a bigger sand castle to top the previous years world record for the world's biggest sand castle. There are many kid's activities and breath taking air shows.
The official four day Sun Fun Festival is a well-known and anticipated start-up for the summer season in Myrtle Beach SC. It continues through the summer with an outdoor, family friendly, concert series and comes to a close with the renowned Beach Boogie and BBQ Festival at the end of August.
